By entering this Contest, you agree to be bound by these Official Contest Rules

check_boxJECRC Hackathon 4.0 will be a 24 hours event.

check_box Students will finish building their projects and have to show it on their systems. A panel of judges will decide on basis of the innovation.

check_box Prizes will be awarded based on the project’s creativity, execution and impact made to the target users or the community.

check_box Participants can choose any platform for development.

check_box Students are requested to bring their own laptops and equipments required at the time of event.

check_box We will accept applications from a fixed team size of 6 students (one female member is mandatory). No intercollege team allowed.

add_circle What is Hackathon?

Hacking is creative problem solving.(It does not have to involve technology.)

A hackathon is any event of any duration where people come together to solve interesting business problems and real world challenges. Most of the hackathons have a parallel track of workshops.

Participants typically form groups of about 2-6 individuals, take out their laptops(if the event is technology themed), and dive into problems. Training workshops are a great parallel track especially for newcomers but also for all participants. The main purpose of hackathon is:

  1. Getting students intersted in coding.
  2. Turning ideas into reality.
  3. Making student come in team,coordinate with each other and work in competitive environment.

  1. The participants will have to choose the problem statement and register themself in the contest. The participants will be given to solve the real time technical problems faced by various institutes and college.
  2. They have to submit the proposal of their Problem statement which they will select. Then the students have to register for the Hackathon which will be the Grand Finale where they have to stay in the college and code here for 24 Hrs.
  3. Hackathon will be onsite and there will be Rs.600 registration charge.


add_circle How should we form a team?

  1. A maximum of 85 teams can participate.
  2. All team members should be from same college; no inter-college teams are allowed
  3. However, members from different branches of the same college can form a team.
  4. Each team would comprise of 6 members. One cannot form a team with less than 6 member. Atleast one female candidate is mandatory.
  5. All members MUST be well versed with programming skills
  6. Team has to fill a form and have to submit it to college with Rs.600 Registration fees.
  7. Once the team is registered it will be showed on website.

add_circle How do we Submit our idea?

PLEASE NOTE: Idea submission must be nade by team leader of a team only


  1. One Team can submit ONLY ONE Idea
  2. Submission dates should be strictly followed. No exceptions will be made.
  3. Participants should submit their innovation by filling form available on website.
  4. After filling the form which is in pdf format they have to submit it to the college with Rs.600.
  5. Entries to be sent only in the prescribed format; otherwise they are bound to get rejected.
  6. Requests for the changes in the Idea will not be entertained after the last date of registration. Teams cannot edit any team details after the submission of form.

  1. Evaluation criteria will include novelty of the idea,complexity,clarity and details in the prescribed format, feasibility, practicability, sustainability, scale of impact,user experience and potential for future work progression
  2. The judging of the hackathon is generally based on the demo presentation given by the team.
  3. The 3 main judge decides the final winner according to the different criteria such as:-
    1. Visibility
    2. Awesomeness
    3. Technological Stack
    4. Impact Created

add_circle What is Judgment criteria?

  1. Judgement will be done by the developer experts who are working in MNC's and are having the experience of 4-5 years in their field.
  2. In the event of 24 hours, the judgement will be done at every 12 hours where the participants have to show their work what they have done so far.
  3. Team members are free to ask regarding suggestion and improvement in their project by our judges once the judgement round gets over.

Our Achievements


It gives us immense pleasure to inform you that JECRC was one of the nodal centers for Smart India Hackathon-2017. Around 50 teams from all over the India participated in College campus. In addition to several officials from the Government of India also visited the campus during the event. The duration of the event was of 36 hours. JECRC, Jaipur was appreciated for coordinating and organizing Smart India Hackathon 2017 and has been again selected as nodal centre for Smart India Hackathon,2018.

IT department of JECRC also organized a department level Hackathon for the very first time on 6th September 2017 from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M. It was a 6 hours competition in which the theme was given on the spot. Students were free to choose the platform and internet facility for the development according to the theme given. Programming is the 21st century’s new literacy. It is not limited to the confines of engineering, but extends to how we solve problems in the future. It embodies creativity and critical thinking. Through IT Hackathon teachers helped students in their development skills to facilitate with their future education and career development.
JECRC Foundation not only encourages the coding competitions and hackathons but also it encourages business hackathons. It gives us immense pleasure to inform you that JECRC was one of the nodal centers for RTU Smart Business Hackathon 2019 which is sponsored by TEQIP-III.In SBH, we have about 320 teams registered from all over Rajasthan, out of which 150 teams were selected after going through 2 levels of mentor/judges scrutiny. In addition to several officials from the Rajasthan Technical University also visited the campus during the event. The duration of the event was of 36 hours.The event was inaugurated by Mr. Subhash Garg , Technical Education Minister of Rajasthan. Students of 23 colleges from all over Rajasthan participated in the event.
